мне кажется, я уже писал где-то о проекте Марины Абрамович “The Artist Is Present”:
From March 14 to May 31, 2010, the Museum of Modern Art held a major retrospective and performance recreation of Abramović’s work, the biggest exhibition of performance art in Moma’s history. During the run of the exhibition, Abramović performed “The Artist is Present,” a 736-hour and 30-minute static, silent piece, in which she sat immobile in the museum’s atrium, while spectators were invited to take turns sitting opposite her. но сейчас опять пересматривал снимки — удивительные все же без меры, чарующие своей простотой, но и отражением всего мира в глазах:

That’s hundreds upon hundreds of viewers who stared directly into the face of an iconographic artist, but still a woman they did not know and would never speak to. And Marina acknowledged and started back into each and every one of their faces in return.
You can’t help but wonder: What would I think about? What would Marina think about me? What expression would I make? How long would I last? What would I gain from an experience like that?

а вот и логичное явление предсказанного — литературные маршруты для Google Earth:

состояние, впрочем, пока зачаточное (и бэджик Made on Mac не делает сайт удобнее), однако, направление движения, безусловно, верное — кто бы не хотел проследить “Одиссею” пальцем на карте? разве что остается добавить еще и сами карты былых времен — ведь и тот же “Портрет художника в юности” странно выглядит на фоне современных улиц, а что уж говорить обо всем остальном.

вслед за “Inception” посмотрел и первый фильм Нолана, “Following” — и тоже разочарование: низведенная до абсолюта минималистичность актерской игры, рванная камера, отдельные фрагменты слов: все, точно старательно выстроенный фестивальный проект, — и совершенная пустота внутри.

The program takes protein structure (PDB) and secondary structure (DSSP) files as input and generates a file that is used to by the program midge to produce a MIDI file. It sequentially examines each residue and assigns notes depending on the scale used <...>. The beat/tempo and percussion are chosen by the secondary structure.

agathis тем временем рассказывает прекрасное — что ж, сидел ровно так же и я — в другой части света, наблюдая не горы, а, наоборот, дюны, проистекающие в море, медленно считая про себя вначале дыханье, затем облака и, наконец, вечности.
теперь же остается только молиться — но опять-таки, о чем? потому что молитва всегда есть просьба, хоть даже и не материальная совершенно, однако все равно жажда души, желание быть выслушанным — но и это мне больше не нужно.

что ж, “Inception”, видимо, совсем неплохое кино. но то ли я ожидал куда большего, то ли все слишком уж разжеванно, а twist в конце нарочито очевиден — но мне, в итоге, не понравилось. зато развлекаю себя чтением трактовок, да и сам придерживаюсь наиболее очевидной — потому что:
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn’t go away.

похоже, iPad все-таки неизбежен[1]:
Flipboard creates a magazine that is customized just for you, based on content from your Twitter and Facebook accounts, news feeds you select, and predefined content. It presents it all in a unified and very nice visual design, with a user interface that is a perfect fit for the iPad—easy and a lot of fun to use. Flipboard also lets you comment, like and share items.
The application goes beyond just pasting these snippets of information together. It creates a more interesting magazine by including linked content and images that you would normally only see after following those links.

вообще, что мне особенно нравится — так это то, какие удивительные новые (и незаметные всему остальному миру) интерфейсы разрабатывают для iOS постоянно — жаль, Нильсен не в состоянии оценить, но всем другим только и остается теперь сгореть от стыда[2].
