говорить всегда хочется о чем-то интересном, рассказать что-нибудь за книжку или про кино, о том, что Блэйк иллюстрировал Данте, или как сам вчера застрял в случайно раскрытом новом пабе до полуночи, играя в забытые слова; о том, что видел у друзей на выставке, или про две картины, что купил в галлерее за углом; о планах на поездки, соплях погоды или утраченных библиотеках.
но получается все равно одно дерьмо, жизнь слишком полна цитатами из второсортных романов:

да, одни воры и убийцы все еще хуже других. но границы исчезают так стремительно, что на ум приходят лишь усталые слова поэта:

Tens of thousands of people have staged a rally in Russia’s Chechnya region in protest against French magazine Charlie Hebdo’s cartoons of the prophet Muhammad, which the predominantly Muslim region’s leader denounced as “vulgar and immoral”.

Kadyrov said he expected up to 1 million people to attend the rally. The Kremlin-backed leader, who opposes an insurgency that aims to carve out an Islamist state in the mostly Muslim North Caucasus, has cultivated his own brand of Islam that critics say contradicts Russian law.
Mass rallies organised in the region have been used to show Kadyrov’s allegiance to Moscow. About 100,000 people were estimated to have marched in Grozny at a rally organised for the birthday of President Vladimir Putin last year.
можно, конечно, усмехнуться вслед никогда не существовавшим там принципам свободы слова, обозначить случившуюся массовую поддержку убийц, задуматься о построении тоталитарного государства, all that usual stuff. но дело-то в другом: из всего околовластного ворья, которым окружил себя — и возглавил — Путин (think Gazprom, Rosneft, etc), только у Кадырова на руках по-настоящему весомые козыри. и в свете борьбы за будущие дотации посреди экономического коллапса он не устает об этом напоминать.

If he wins the election, David Cameron said he would increase the authorities’ power to access both the details of communications and their content.
Mr Cameron said the recent attacks in Paris showed the need for such a move.
He was “comfortable” it was appropriate in a “modern liberal democracy”.

о каких к черту атаках он говорит, когда сегодня любому доступно какое угодно сильное шифрование? иными словами, переписку действительных террористов они уж конечно не прочтут. а вот нашу с вами обычную — это всенепременно, с обязательной папочкой компромата затем на каждую и каждого.
исключительнейшая мразь. ну, да хоть ясно, против кого точно надо голосовать.

on a side note, там действительно произошло столкновение двух миров. но делятся они не по религиозному, гуманистическому, историческому, рефлективному или какому-то еще признаку. а куда проще: человек, не понимающий, что свобода слова[1] так же естествена и необходима, как воздух, так же основополагающа, как само рождение, — это человек всегда раб. так или иначе, в одних кандалах или на других галлерах, но обязательно раб, жалкий и ограниченный.

а вот и еще один ублюдочный лицемер “я-конечно-принес-веночек-но”:
[В]се же принцип свободы слова существует не для того, чтобы рассказывать похабные истории о Боге и церкви, государстве и семье, великих и мелких людях.
для того, дерьмо ты лагерное, именно, что для того: сатира, оскорбления, богохульство — все это позволяет нам увидеть себя со стороны, пусть и в гипетрофированном, искаженном виде, в кривом зеркале, но все равно постараться осознать, куда еще может завести нас следующий шаг.
многим карикатуры Charlie Hebdo могли показаться нелицеприятными, злыми и даже извращенными. но правы, в итоге, оказались именно они, эти журналисты. они показывали нам своих убийц — а мы трусливо прятали головы в песок. и теперь, слушая налетевшую мразь, подобную вышепроцитированному Григорию Ревзину[1], даже не утруждаем себя хоть какими-то размышлениями, о том, что же именно произошло и как.

говорить про убийства в Charlie Hebdo очень трудно, потому что вообще непонятно, как. потому что единственное по-настоящему действенное средство против терроризма — это просвещение, но время играет против с абсолютно безумной скоростью.
и я не знаю, что сказать вслед убитым журналистам — очевидно, это были смелые, прекрасные люди. и, да, они плевали в лицо религиозному мракобесию и политическим ничтожествам. но что все эти слова сегодня, когда их больше нет?

Under new Home Office plans, nursery staff will be forced to report on toddlers who pose a risk of becoming terrorists.
The plan has been drawn in a document that is submitted with the Government’s Counter-Terrorism and Security Bill that is going through the Parliament.
The consultation document on Prevent states: “Senior management and governors are expected to assess the risk of pupils being drawn into terrorism, including support for the extremist ideas [emphasis mine] that are part of terrorist ideology.
